The extension can be downloaded by every user in the following way.
- Navigate to the Application UI by opening the App URL in the browser. This link is usually provided to you by your IT team. This URL normally contains the name of the host server, where the application was installed on and the HTTPS protocol.
- Click on the Download Extension button to download the .trex file.
- Switch to your Tableau Dashboard which you want to annotate. Click on Extension and select “From local”. After this, select the downloaded .trex file.
Open the extension configuration to use the annotation rule that was previously created.
